WGRR-DB TBTM Future of Daily Paul Radio Press Release PDF

Dear Daily Paul Radio Listener,

Good morning and Happy Independence Day, I hope this little blog post finds everyone well and in good spirits, for it is a most exciting time to be alive, even in the face of a STATE that pats itself on the back for conducting endless warrantless spying, and that continues to wage wholly unnecessary wars et al. That we have simply amazing tools at our disposal to peacefully frustrate and circumvent the ever-burgeoning police STATE to wit is modern America, provides endless motivation to continue working towards elevating the individual Liberty of mankind.

When the idea to build a radio station was posited late one night amongst others and myself in the Daily Paul Chat room, never could I have imagined the relationships that would blossom, the warm well-received reception, or that in such a short time it would be possible to wade into previously uncharted internet waters. πŸ˜‰

However none of this would be possible without the amazing hosts who are dedicated to bringing fresh entertaining content, day after day, week after week, for broadcast, nor would I have had the confidence to delve into developing the code, building the servers, without the amazing genius-like intelligence of one Mr. Jeff Treubig. Further still, it is with little doubt, that without Mr. Michael Nystrom who laid the groundwork back in 2007 when he launched DailyPaul.com and agreed to allow me use of the domain and Daily Paul brand, would the wonderful decentralized community known as the Liberty Movement, found and supported the station en mass.

In addition, I want to thank Big Mike from Daily Paul for championing the cause and Jon, who helped make the Daily Paul Radio stream directly accessible from DailyPaul.com.

One late night in March following the conclusion of my show, hopped up on copious amounts of coffee, looking at the aggregated stats from several of the broadcast servers, my Eureka moment arrived, the highest rated shows on the stream week after week proved to be LIVE content. Thus much like the cartoon light bulb that appears above the heads of characters who have a bright idea, I thought of course, duh… is anyone else doing this…no… no way… what if I programmed the stream to broadcast actual LIVE shows 24-hours per day… wait is there enough content to even accomplish such an endeavor?

You see, to me as a fan of talk radio having grown up with the likes of the original Roe Conn and Garry Meijer Show, Jay Marvin, Mike Malloy’s Bug House Square, and the insomniac’s radio version of the Twilight Zone, the old-school Art Bell show, it is the same thing that left me in awe upon first walking into an all-night diner at 14: conversation, the exchange of ideas, the chance to share ideas with another human being.

Perhaps its nostalgia, perhaps it is my upbringing, whereby being invited to the kitchen table by my mother to wax intellectual over philosophy, politics, the universe, and whether birds are descendants of dinosaurs, coupled with an endless stream of coffee and cigarettes was a literal rite of passage. But conversing whether with family, a group of 1990’s angst filled peers or the talk-show host, I simply adore engaging in discourse, because to me, the art of conversation, just might help us understand how we all endure, how to arrive at a better solution to a problem, or maybe even, just maybe, help spread a little more Peace, Love, and Liberty in our lifetimes.

The conversation on terrestrial radio began to wither during the mid to late 1990’s via FCC corporatist backed media consolidation, which preferred replaying six or seven national hosts to the detriment of LIVE broadcasts. Thus, couple the same talking-point talk-radio along with an endless stream of advertisements, absurd hold-times and stale rebroadcasts and it is no wonder the talk radio audience no longer feels part of the show or why demographics have stagnated. Therefore, the time has come to reignite the conversation, all the while relishing in being able to broadcast without a permission slip from the corporatist hacks at the FCC. πŸ™‚

Beginning Monday, July 7th, 2014, WGRR-DB will merge with Truth Be Told Media and make history by becoming the first talk-station whether terrestrial AM/FM or Internet to begin broadcasting LIVE-only (Liberty-oriented) shows round-the-clock Mondays through Fridays. Thus, while this may mark the end of working with Mr. Nystrom, I remain forever grateful for the opportunity, and highly anticipate what he will do next. Further, he has agreed to forward the Daily Paul Radio domain so as to ease listeners into the transition to the new station and on-demand archives.

In closing, I just want to say thank you again to all of you who have tuned in, written me at the station, downloaded an episode, hosted a show on the network, advertised with the station, and/or telephoned me to ask several times exactly what the live call in number was for such-and-such show. Never have I been more excited to wake up and “get to the office” in my eleven years since or before, going out on my own as an entrepreneur, so thank you, I love this here right-on groovy Liberty Movement and look forward to forging into the future as we work together in our own unique ways of bringing about greater human Liberty.

Sincerely,

Allison Bricker

It is her view that the U.S. Constitution is the most eloquently written attempt by humanity to date, designed to restrain a government. However, even in its beautiful simplicity, the document, as witnessed by the current reality of American life whereby the central government decrees authority to assassinate & indefinitely detain American Citizens without evidence/trial, torture [read: NDAA of 2012], endlessly spy, molest any/all who travel, hands authority over monetary policy and the currency to a private central bank, succinctly illustrates the document failed to stop the relentless onslaught of Authoritarians who seek to rule over a free & peaceful people. However, she feels perhaps said criticism is more aptly directed towards both ourselves and our ancestors in failing to properly exercise the eternal vigilance demanded to keep the small cabal of tyrants that have in a myriad of ways sought to enslave and reduce the Liberty of humanity throughout the ages. Thus, when not interviewing the best and brightest voices in the Liberty Movement, she regularly cheer-leads and advocates for individuals to peacefully withdraw consent and nullify the sociopaths occupying β€œThe District of Criminals,” ergo D.C.
