Can CBD Help with Common Ailments Instead of Relying on Prescription Medications?
With news of many common prescription drugs whether for pain, disease or even dermatological procedures listing a suppressed immune system as one of the primary side effects, and in the wake of COVID-19 being an opportunistic disease that is more harmful to those with such a compromised immune deficiency, Doctor Kendra Pearsall a naturpathic doctor of medicine and her husband John Murino join Dr. George for this week’s episode of Living in the Solution to discuss the potential of CBD oils and other derivatives.
The trio discuss alternatives to the typical pharmacological regime of prescription medicines such as cannabidiol more commonly referred to as CBD, is the chemical compound derived from the Cannabis sativa plant. It is a naturally occurring substance utilized in the production of oils, edibles, tinctures, and salves, but unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.
The benefits of CBD oil continue to be discovered, with scientifically rigorous study and examination exploding over the past few years. CBD oils have been shown to help those with pain, immune system challenges, inflamation, insomnia, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s Disease and many other common conditions.
