Any Investment Strategy Should Include Gold

Today’s show features Adrian Day from Adrian Day Asset Management and author of 2 books International Investment Opportunities: How and Where to Invest Overseas Successfully and Investing Without Borders. Bubba and Adrian discuss the current economic environment and both agree that the middle class has not thrived in this environment.

Bubba asks Adrian his opinion on the FED, Adrian sees the FED as a group that cannot handle the truth and believes that they are bigger and smarter than the markets. Bubba and Adrian talk about gold and the value it adds to any portfolio, Adrian believes that all portfolios should have a small percentage of gold.

Adrian talks about Adrian Day Asset Management and their investment strategy. The philosophy is to buy and hold stocks that have a perceived value and hold for extended periods of time. Adrian doesn’t like to be to active, pointing out that holding strong assets is better than being active.

Bubba asserts that the big banks could not pass a true stress test, yet they continue to print money through fractional reserve banking. Adrian agrees and expresses concerns that the FED tries to eliminate the flushing of the system, which would be preferable to prolonging the inevitable.
