Joining The Bubba Show today is, the founder of Parkwood Capital, LLC. Kerry is known as the Duke or Dr. Duke. He is a co-founder of G&L Capital Management, LLC, and manages two of its funds. Dr. Given speaks frequently at trading conferences and on behalf of several option brokerage firms. The Duke and Bubba talk about the general markets.

Bubba and Duke discuss stock selection and strategies that can be used by investors. The Doctor builds portfolios, trying to grow slowly while bringing in consistent returns. Bubba asks the Duke about his views on what’s next for the markets. Duke explains that he is a little concerned, but is prepared either way.

Bonds is the next topic up for Bubba and Duke. Duke feels that all portfolios should contain some bond exposure with consistent yield. Bubba asks Duke what he looks for in a stock, Duke gives Bubba a detailed explanation about how he builds his watch list.

Bubba asks Duke about ETFs and the Doctor says he uses a couple, but generally prefers individual stocks. Next up, Bubba, who hates the street hustling fear mongers, asks Duke his thoughts on that business model. Duke is in full agreement with Bubba and feels they are way out of line.
