Today on Medicine On Call, Dr George introduces Dr. Geoffrey Broderick owner of Cornucopia Pet Foods to discuss the health of our pets. There is a growing concern about our pets dying long before their expected lifespan. Dr. Broderick feels the pet food industry is the cause of our pets getting sick and dying at an early age.The consumer has to change the way they budget for their pets. We can go out and treat ourselves to a latte or a beer for $5, but we can’t find money to find the best quality pet food available? Many of the pet foods are toxic for our pets being over loaded with one type of ingredient. Our pets give us unconditional love and we need to ensure what food we give them will help them live long and Healthy lives.
