Duke on Top

Witz and Roz recap the first full week of NCAA basketball. Duke is clearly the #1 team right now, after taking down a very good Michigan State team on Tuesday night. Even without Marvin Bagley, the Blue Devils demolished MSU on the boards and pulled away late behind Grayson Allen’s 37 points.

The MVP and CY Young Awards went official on Thursday night and here are your winners: Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Altuve won the NL and AL MVP, respectively. Corey Kluber took home the AL Cy Young and Max Scherzer took the NL.

The CFP rankings had another major shakeup this week as both #1 Georgia and #3 Notre Dame went down. Alabama is the new #1 team in the nation followed by Clemson, Miami, and Oklahoma. Wisco moves up to #5 and Auburn is sitting at #6.

There are some surprising teams sitting on the NFL Power Rankings right now. The Saints and Vikings both find themselves at 7-2 behind some great defense. The Eagles are still on top, but the Patriots are really coming into their own down the stretch. Stay tuned for next week!
